Atefeh Fathnezhad, LCSW-C,  served as the Clinical Director of a program in Montgomery County that provides counseling, case management and positive youth development programming to refugee and immigrant youth. She has facilitated various youth leadership development programs in schools and community centers, as well as Farsi speaking mental health groups on topics such as stress management and domestic violence.

Mrs. Fathnezhad has worked in the field of social work for several years and has experience with populations including  refugees, asylum seekers, immigrants, those with severe and debilitating mental conditions, women with marriage and family challenges, formerly incarcerated individuals, the elderly, children and young adults with behavioral issues.

Mrs. Fathnezhad graduated with a Masters in Social Work from the University of Maryland Baltimore and Bachelors in Social Work from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
